“The Silkstones, Cottonwood EP” is the second release for The Silkstones in 2017. The EP is a short collection of songs that display an acoustic side of the Albertan group. The album marks the first collaboration with Cottonwood records producer Joel Varjassy. The lyrical subject of the EP touches on growing up, having love and losing it.

With three songs, the album includes acoustic versions of previously released “Webs On A Tree“ ,“She Only Cares” and a new song entitled “Fable”. “Fable” lyrically and musically can be seen as a stripped down extension to the bands full-length release “The World Began With A Yes” (2017).

“Webs On A Tree” has an accompanying music video by Narcona Entertainment which serves as a scene in a production by Cottonwood Records. It visually draws influences from classics like “Star Wars”, “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly“ and “Bio Shock”.

The Silkstones The Cottonwood EP features, Ryan Phillips (lead vocals, guitar) Dylan Jerome Wagner (Lead guitar, harmonies), Megan Brown (Violin, harmonies).
